Talking About Your Career Doesn't Have to Be Work

If you believe success is ninety percent attitude, then Opportunity Knocks is the show for you.

No matter how different each of our paths are professionally, we all have one thing in common, nothing ever stays the same. For many of us constant change equals stress, but it doesn't have to.

So whether you have a job or not...whether you've been fired or promoted...whether you can't wait to get to work in the morning, or you can't wait to leave the job you have...nationally-recognized Executive Recruiter Tom Stern is going to have an opinion about it. As someone who has placed company presidents and MBA's, Tom is taking to the airwaves to hear your story, and help you with your career.

But there's a twist. You better not take yourself too seriously. You see, Tom Stern has also spent more than fifteen years writing and performing comedy, as well as rubbing shoulders with luminaries like Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld. That means Tom has had as much experience in comedy as he has had in corporate placement.

Don't get us wrong, though. When you call Opportunity Knocks, you will get serious advice; feedback you can use. If you want to talk about how to deal with a troublesome co-worker, or how to prepare for that big interview, or just complain about your boss, Tom is there to listen. But don't think for a minute that he won't talk back; because he knows through personal experience that sometimes we are the biggest obstacles to our own success.

And, Tom has a little on-air help, and a fresh perspective, from his co-host, author and humorist James Napoli, who, last we checked, has never had a real job. In fact, before he met Tom, Jimmy thought a 401K was a breakfast cereal. Part of Jimmy's job is to hunt down the week's weird and bizarre news from the world of work, and you can bet there is lots to find.

Plus, Opportunity Knocks will seek out leaders from the business world to be our guests on the show, and dole out their own brand of wisdom for our audience. Hey, we can't have you thinking we know everything. And, we won't say no to the occasional call from some of our own offbeat comedic characters, who live to underscore the daily absurdities of the working world. All in all, Opportunity Knocks is a show about work. Finding it, keeping it, learning to love it.

Your career is a marathon. Don't spend it running away from the challenges you face every day. Call Opportunity Knocks with Tom Stern. It will make you think, it will make you laugh...and that may just give you what you need to win the race.
